Doctor

Kevin P. Rosenbach, M.D. Medical Director

Medical Director of Naples Allergy Center

Dr. Rosenbach is board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology, and has been licensed to practice medicine in Florida since 1993. He has been practicing medicine in Naples since 1998 and opened this practice in 2001.

Dr. Rosenbach is on staff at Naples Community Hospital and North Collier Hospital.

For the past 13 years he has served on the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) Aerobiology Committee and the Adverse Reactions to Food and Drugs Committee. For over a decade he has been serving on the IRB and CME Committees at Naples Community Hospital.

Dr. Rosenbach earned his B.S. degree in Microbiology/Immunology and an M.S. degree in Immunoparasitology at Rutgers University. After graduate school he attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and graduated in 1992. He then moved to Florida where he joined the residency training program at University of South Florida (USF) for Internal Medicine. Following his residency he stayed at USF for his Fellowship in Allergy & Immunology. His training included care of both adult and pediatric patients. His final year at USF was a second fellowship program in Clinical Laboratory Immunology (CLI).

Dr. Rosenbach’s college research project developed murine monoclonal antibodies to Campylobacter jejuni to be used by the FDA. His graduate school research analyzed the effects of the immune response (TNF-alpha) to malaria. His medical school research developed improved separation and collection techniques for harvesting human natural killer cells. His fellowship training required participation in several hundred clinical trials for pharmaceutical products that are currently used to treat allergy and asthma. His own personal research looked at the anti-inflammatory effects of aspirin on human epithelium, and his clinical research developed an outpatient method of aspirin desensitization in the treatment of Samter’s (Aspirin Sensitivity) Triad patients. This has been so successful that it is still being used by allergy physicians specifically trained in this method. Dr. Rosenbach has an ongoing aspirin desensitization protocol still being carried out in his office here in Naples.
